Join Together Washington for our Day of Service beautifying, cleaning up, and building community in downtown Seattle on Saturday, January 21, from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
Anchored in the region’s civic and business community, including the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Seattle Association, we're celebrating our community’s significant moments – the openings and events that fill us with hometown pride.
This month, we’re excited for the Seattle Convention Center’s Summit Expansion which will bring renewed vibrance to the downtown area, with more community benefits to come.
Join us in being a positive presence to get ready for this big milestone – the result of years of hard work from the Convention Center, Visit Seattle, local elected leaders, our construction unions, and many more.
WHAT CAN I SIGN UP FOR?
Take your pick of what volunteer role interests you most!
1. Litter and Leaf Clean-up
2. Graffiti Removal
3. Tulip Bulb Planting
Based on your preferences, we will assign you to a team. All materials and tools will be provided.
Let us know if you would like to be a team lead! Team leads will lead 5-10 volunteers in an assigned neighborhood block. Team lead training will be provided prior to the event.
WHERE SHOULD I CHECK IN?
Check-in at our welcome center in the Seattle Convention Center’s Arch Building lobby at (705 Pike St, Seattle, WA 98101). We’ll have coffee and snacks waiting for you!
WHO SHOULD JOIN US?
Everyone! Whether you are new to the city or a longtime Seattle resident, signing up solo or bringing friends or family, we’d welcome your help getting ready for this big milestone. There’s something for everyone to do. Families and kids are encouraged to serve together.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE NEEDED?
We're aiming for 100-150 people to serve together, to make a big impact on the city!
WHAT IF I CAN'T STAY FOR THE WHOLE TIME?
That's ok, join us anyway! Whether you can come for a bit or all 3 hours, we'd love to have you. Simply check-in at our tent when you arrive.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Bring a raincoat! Rain or shine, we’ll be there.
