Together Washington Welcomes Boris Borisov as COO
It is my pleasure to welcome Boris Borisov to the Together Washington Team as our new Chief Operating Officer. Boris will help lead our organizational and implementation efforts including state-wide Summits, strategic planning, development, and capacity building. In addition, Boris will work to develop, nurture and leverage strong relationships with donors, foundations, government agencies, businesses and other stakeholders to increase impact across the state.
A resident of Spokane, Washington, Boris brings a diverse mix of experiences from a variety of contexts. Most notably was his tenure as a City Planner working on economic development and business district revitalization. Boris led innovative public engagement efforts, worked to help stakeholders find common ground, and helped craft multi-disciplinary approaches to redevelopment projects. As an immigrant to Washington State in the early 90s, Boris is also a leader building bridges between the Slavic faith community and the larger community. Boris holds a bachelor degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Washington University and a Masters in Theology from Whitworth University.
What excites Boris the most about his new role is the opportunity to combine high level organizational planning with grassroots work that is intentional around bringing people together for the purpose of working for the common good.
Boris believes in grinding his own coffee and enjoys travel and camping in his free time. His proudest accomplishment is being a dad to his two daughters and husband to his wife Julia.
We are excited to see Boris grow the vision of Together Washington and help us see more collective impact in communities across Washington State.
Boris recently joined me on the latest episode of the Podcast for the Common Good. To hear more about Boris in his own words, listen to our conversation here: Episode 30: Boris Borisov or check out his bio on our Our Team page.
